Ok so,

Assuming the pump was sized based off of a design flow of approximately 1GPM...

The head loss in your system would be ~ 0.5Ft

If I plot out your system curve overlaid with the 007 pump curve, the actual expected flow would be ~ 4GPM

40 feet of 3/4 inch type L copper will hold ~ 1.016 Gallons

1.016Gal/(4 Gal/Min) ~ apprximitly 15 Seconds

Provided the assumptions are correct.

      taco 007 connected to bottom of 40 gallon water heater, total length of circ loop is 80' back to wh, connects at top of incoming cold.
      piping is 3/4 l copper. city water pressure is 55psi
      pump is controlled with switch at sink
      how long will it take for the pump to deliver hot water to the sink,when the pump is activated?
